Qualities specific
with each wine
The maturing underlines the real qualities of each wine while respecting
the terroir (the lighter wines only seeing for a brief period the
new wood.).
Some white wines, as the Chateau de Meursault, Meursault Premier
Cru mature for part of the time in new barrels and for part in one-year-old
barrels. The average length of the maturing is from 12 to 18 months
depending on the appellations.
A
perfect harmony
Frequent tasting permit the judging of the type and the length of
the maturing so that perfect harmony can be respected between the
terroir of the wine and its wood character.
All the wines are bottled in the Chateau. The bottles staying a
minimum of a year in the cellar before labelling and selling the
wine.
